“No matter what happens in life, be good to people. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind.”
Mikayla Davidson is an associate attorney at Mims Ballew Hollingsworth, PLLC. She discovered early in life that she had a passion for helping others. In high school, she was moved by the story of a young girl whose life was forever changed by the work of a guardian ad litem, inspiring her to pursue a career dedicated to supporting families through challenging circumstances.
Before attending law school, Mikayla earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Georgia State University in Atlanta, graduating summa cum laude. She went on to serve at a nonprofit organization, where she supervised parent-child visitations and supported families working toward reunification. This hands-on experience solidified her desire to help individuals navigate complex and emotional family matters.
Mikayla later moved to Fort Worth to attend Texas A&M University School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor with a concentration in family law. During law school, she served as a research assistant, contributed to scholarship in the family-law space, and was an active member of the Family Law Student Association. She also spent three semesters and a summer with the Family and Veterans Advocacy Clinic, managing her own caseload, drafting and filing pleadings, and assisting clients in SAPCRs, divorces, and protective orders. In recognition of her dedication to clients and peers, she received the Clinic Award for Professionalism and Leadership.
Mikayla joined Mims Ballew Hollingsworth, PLLC in 2025. Her practice is grounded in compassion and client-centered care, and she is committed to ensuring that every individual she serves feels supported, heard, and empowered throughout the legal process.
Outside of the office, Mikayla enjoys freelance photography—including senior and engagement portraits—crocheting, and exploring Fort Worth in search of the city’s best cup of coffee.
