Mims Ballew Hollingsworth Welcomes Emily Walden as Law Clerk

Mims Ballew Hollingsworth is pleased to welcome Emily Walden to the firm as a Law Clerk.

Emily joined Mims Ballew Hollingsworth on August 3, 2026, following her graduation from Texas Tech University School of Law, where she earned her J.D. in 2026. She previously graduated cum laude from Texas State University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Public Administration.

Emily brings experience in family law from her time in Texas Tech University School of Law’s Family Law Clinic, where she served as a Qualified Student Representative and represented clients in a variety of family law matters, including Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship (SAPCR) matters, divorces, and enforcement actions.

During law school, Emily also served as Executive Symposium Editor of the Estate Planning & Community Property Law Journal. In recognition of her dedication to the Journal, she received the Gery & Margaret Beyer Award for Outstanding Achievement. Her academic accomplishments also earned her the Top-Grade Award for Mental Disability Law.

At Mims Ballew Hollingsworth, Emily will support the firm’s attorneys and legal team while awaiting the results of the July 2026 UBE for admission in Texas.

Outside of her legal work, Emily enjoys spending time with her dog, Kiwi, attending concerts, and baking.

Mims Ballew Hollingsworth welcomes Emily to the firm and looks forward to her contributions to the team and its work serving clients throughout North Texas.
